One of the finest women athletes in the 1950s at Montclair State, Taylor won the National Intercollegiate Women’s Fencing Individual championship in 1953 and placed second in 1954. A varsity letter winner in fencing in her last two years, Taylor captained the team in his junior and senior years. Active in fencing as president of the Intercollegiate Women’s Association in her undergraduate days, she coached women’s fencing at Montclair State for seven years.
