Arguably one of the Top 5 players in the rich history of Montclair State baseball, Conway was a three-time American Baseball Coaches Association All-American, including First-Team honors in 2001 when he closed out his brilliant career as the all-time hit leader in MSU history with 290. Conway led the Red Hawks to three NCAA Division III World Series appearances, including 2000 when Montclair captured its third national championship. Conway batted .400 that season with a nation-leading and school-record 27 doubles and drove in 75 runs. At the World Series in Appleton, WI, Conway hit .375 with 10 RBI as the Red Hawks capped off a 42-7-1 season with a 6-2 win over St. Thomas (MN). The following year, Conway, a four-time All-Region and All-NJAC selection, set a school record with 91 hits and batted .446 as the Red Hawks returned to Appleton, Wisconsin. Named the NJAC Male Athlete of the Year for 2001, Montclair posted a record of 143-37-2 with Conway in the lineup and a 62-10 mark in the NJAC culminating with the league's championship in 2001. He also holds the MSU career marks for double and triples and is ranked fourth all-time for runs batted in with 184.
