Eric Magrini holds the single-game, single-season and career marks for receptions and receiving yards. A three-time First-Team All-NJAC selection, Magrini made an immediate impact during his first year in 2000. He set the single-season mark for receptions with 70 along with 888 yards and seven touchdown catches as Montclair captured its second consecutive league crown. Magrini also broke the single-game record for receptions with 12 against Buffalo State. The following year, Magrini bettered each of those marks hauling in 71 receptions for 1,178 yards and 12 touchdowns – all new single-season records that helped MSU to its third straight NCAA Division III Playoff appearance. He also tied his own single-game mark for receptions with 12 against Iona College and tied the school record for yards with 197 in the same contest. Magrini capped off his career in 2002 with 57 catches for 798 yards and five touchdowns earning a spot on the ECAC All-Star Team. He finished No. 1 all-time in receptions (198) and yards (2,864) – marks that still stand today. Magrini, who averaged 14.5 yards per reception in his career, is third in touchdown grabs with 24 and ranked eighth in all-purpose yards (2,871) and 12th for points scored (146) at the time of his graduation.
