Named Coach of the Year three times in his nine seasons as a cross country coach, Dr. George Horn also had the distinction of being the winningest cross country coach in the history of Montclair State. In 1971 he coached the team to an undefeated 15-0 record which was a first for MSC, took first place in the CTC’s and fifth place in the very prestigious IC4A Championships. And it all the aforementioned wasn’t enough, Dr. Horn also coach indoor and outdoor track during the same nine years with equal success. His teams produced many record holders and All-Americans.
