Richard Keenan, the only player to play both offensive and defensive positions in his senior year of football, earned five varsity award – three in football and two in wrestling. He was voted Outstanding Senior Athlete in 1965-66. Keenan’s honors include: All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-America honors in football. He signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers and played three years in the Continental Football League. During the 1964 wrestling season, Keenan placed third in the Metropolitan Championships. Additionally, he qualified for the national championship meet.
