August is named for the second consecutive week after averaging a double-double 21.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in a 3-0 week of play for the Red Hawks. Named the NJAC Player of the Week for the second time this season, he opened the week by producing 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field, while adding five rebounds and three assists in MSU’s conference-opening 75-69 NJAC road win at Rutgers-Newark. Two nights later in the opening round of the Connecticut College Tournament, he produced a double-double 22 points and 13 rebounds, while adding seven assists in a 71-67 win over Coast Guard. He wrapped up the week by being named the Most Valuable Player of the Connecticut College Tournament after producing a double-double 24 points and 12 rebounds in MSU’s championship game victory over the hosts. August currently leads the NJAC in both scoring (21.3 points per game) and rebounding (10.0 per game).
