The TALON Club is made up of student-athlete leaders on campus who serve to represent the voice of the student-athlete at Montclair State University. All teams are asked to have a member serve as a representative of their team.

The goals of the group are:

• Serve the community through volunteer work and community outreach
• Provide a liaison between athletic staff, campus, faculty/staff and the student-athletes
• Provide a forum for student-athletes to have a voice on campus
• Unify the MSU athletic programs
• Encourage student-athlete support among students
• Serve as a support system for all athletes to address many of the issues associated with college athletics

 
More TALON important facts:

• TALON is now a Class III organization through the Student Government Association
• TALON serves as the Montclair State University Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). Each year the executive board of TALON is asked to serve as representatives for the conference NJAC SAAC. In turn, the NJAC SAAC sends representatives to serve on the National SAAC at the NCAA convention. Therefore, we have voting power!!!
