Hansen posted an NCAA “B” cut in the 200 butterfly, set a new school record in the 100 butterfly and swam on three school-record setting relay teams helping Montclair State to a sixth-place finish at the Metropolitan Championships over the weekend. She was named the NJAC Women’s Swimming Rookie of the Week. Hansen became the first MSU female to swim the 100 fly under one minute as she placed seventh with a time of 58.80 seconds. She broke the MSU record in the event that stood for 13 years. Hansen then placed fourth in the 200 butterfly with an NCAA  B  cut time of 2:08.47 which puts her on the provisional list for the NCAA Championships in March. Hansen would also swim on the 400 medley relay team that placed fifth in the event with a school-record time of 4:02.66 as well as the 200 and 400 freestyle relay squads that broke 28-year-old Montclair State marks. The 200 free relay team placed fifth overall with a time of 1:39.76 while the 400 free squad also place fifth clocking in at 3:38.44 in the event. Both teams eclipsed school records set during the 1985 NCAA Division III Championships.
