Wavra became the second different Red Hawk to earn NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors this season after helping limit two MSU opponents to a combined 24 shots and five goals in a pair of victories over Maritime College and College of Mount St. Vincent. She opened the week by securing two ground balls in a 16-1 victory over New York Maritime. Four days later, she tallied three ground balls and two caused turnovers during a 19-4 road win at Mt. St. Vincent.
Wavra is a key part of Montclair State’s defense which currently leads the NJAC in team goals against average (5.96).
