Smith is named MSU Athlete of the Week for the second time and collected NJAC Men's Swimmer of the Week honors for the second time this season after competing in a tri-meet against Divison I MAAC competitors Manhattan and St. Peter's. Individually, he produced a first place-showing in the 200 freestyle with a winning time of 1:17.81. He also finished second in the 500 freestyle with a runner-up time of 5:00.50. Smith also was a member of MSU's 200 freestyle relay which finished second with a mark of 1:31.55.
