Amilcar was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track Rookie of the Week on Monday. He recorded a pair Top 5 finishes individually and helped the MSU 4x400 relay team to third-place at the New Jersey Invitational held at The College of New Jersey on Saturday. Amilcar finished third in the 400 meters with a time 49.58 seconds and later placed fourth in the 200 meters at 22.47 seconds. He then anchored the 4x400 relay that posted a time of 3:20.74. All three times were good enough to qualify for the ECAC Championship meet.
