Pietrucha was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Skyline Championship after a pair of stellar performances at the faceoff position helping the No. 14-ranked Red Hawks to their sixth consecutive Skyline Conference championship and berth in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship. Selected for a Skyline weekly award for the second time this season, he went 40-of-49 (.816) on faceoffs with 24 ground balls and added two goals and an assist in the two tournament games. Pietrucha was 21-of-24 with 11 ground balls, tying the MSU single-game mark, and a caused turnover in an 18-7 semifinal win over Richard Stockton on Wednesday. Three days later he went 19-of-25 with a record-breaking 13 ground balls in addition to getting a goal and assist as Montclair claimed the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 17-4 victory over Kean.
