Phillips was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week as he helped the Red Hawk football to their second straight victory in a 27-14 win over Division II Lincoln University on Saturday. He recorded a team-best nine tackles, including seven solo stops and also registered 2.5 of his squad's five total sacks. Phillips finished the game with three total tackles for a loss and he currently leads all NJAC defenders in total sacks (3.5).
