Channer is named for the second time this year as he was also chosen as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Channer averaged 22.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest in three games for Montclair State (5-6) last week. The junior shot 49 percent (24-of-49) from the field, including 9-of-18 950 percent) from three-point range while making 11-of-15 at the foul line. Channer also collected five assists and six steals. Channer opened the week with his fifth double-double of the season with 26 points and 12 rebounds as the Red Hawks snapped a four-game losing streak with a 71-58 victory over Farmingdale State. Three days later he had 14 points and nine rebounds against McDaniel in the Cregger Classic at Roanoke College and the next day pumped in a season-high 28 points along with six rebounds in a loss to Kenyon. He was chosen to the All-Tournament Team. Channer currently leads the NJAC in scoring at 20.0 points per game and is second in rebounding at 9.0 caroms per contests. He also leads the league in three-point field goals per contest (2.7) and is third in three-point percentage (.435). Channer is 12th in steals (1.6 per game).
