Foote, named the NJAC Player of the Week, helped the MSU baseball team to a season-opening sweep of Marymount University at the RussMatt Invitational on Sunday. Foote hit .500 going 4-for-8 in the two contests as Montclair State posted 4-3 and 6-3 victories for its first 2-0 start since 2011. Foote was 1-for-4 and scored the winning run in the first game victory and followed that up going 3-for-4 with two runs scored in the second contest. Foote, who had a .500 on-base percentage for the day, also successfully handled all 11 chances in the field.
