King, the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week, helped the Red Hawks to a pair of conference victories last week as Montclair eanred the No. 3 seed in the NJAC Tournament which begins on Wednesday, May 4. MSU will head to Glassboro, NJ to face second-seeded Rowan at 7:00 pm. King anchored a Montclair State defense that allowed 11 goals in two games in victories over Kean and Rutgers-Camden. King caused five turnovers and registered six ground balls as the Red Hawks rallied from five-goals down for an 8-7 win over Kean at home. MSU held the Cougars scoreless for the final 17:50 of the contest. Three days later, she broke the MSU single-season mark for caused turnovers with two as MSU closed out the regular season with a 17-4 triumph in Camden. King, who has 46 caused turnovers on the season, surpassed the mark of 45 sert by Dina Morrone in 2007. King is currently ranked second in the NJAC in both casued turnovers (46) and ground balls (59). She has 135 career ground balls and 109 caused turnovers which currently rank 10th and third, respectively on the all-time MSU list.
