DiStefano accounted for 305 all-purpose yards and scored three touchdowns as Montclair State shut down FDU-Florham in the second half and rallied for a 25-15 win last Friday in the season opener. DiStefano set new career-highs for rushing yards and all-purpose yards. The senior carried 26 times for 184 yards, had a 70-yard TD reception and averaged 25.5 yards on two kickoff returns. His 305 all-purpose yards were the most by an MSU player since Ryan McCoach (vs. Western Connecticut) and Rahson Moore (vs. Cortland) put up 254 yards in 2006 and 1999, respectively. He fell five yards short of matching Leroy Horn's 1985 record of 310 against Jersey City State. DiStefano scored on a 70-yard pass reception on the Red Hawks' first possession of the game and gave MSU the lead in the third with a 74-yard TD run. He finished off the day with a two-yard run in the ofurth quarter. DiStefano currently leads the NJAC in rushing yards, all-purpose yards and scoring (18.0 points per game).
