Koester, named the NJAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, was outstanding at both ends of the field scoring three times and assisting on three other goals while spearheading a defensive unit that allowed just nine shots in the three contests, including none in a 6-0 win over Brooklyn College. MSU yielded five in an 8-0 win over Elmira in the Mount St. Mary Tournament and four against the hosts in the championship game the following day. Koester, named the Most Valuable Player in the Tournament, had a goal and assist in each match. Koester currently sits atop the NJAC in assists (3) and is sixth in points (9) and seventh in goals scored (3).
