Struss, the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, cored four times helping No. 6 Montclair State to a pair of overtime victories, upping the Red Hawks' record to 9-0 on the year. It is MSU's best start since 2013 when it captured its first 10 contests. Struss scored twice as Montclair battled back from a two-goal deficit to defeat Vassar College 3-2 on Wednesday. Trailing 2-0 in the contest, Struss scored early in the second half to trim the lead to one. It was the 53rd career goal for Struss, who surpassed Jennifer Tanis (2004-07) for the No. 1 spot on the all-time list for goals scored.  Just for good measure she collected the game-winner in overtime. Three days later Struss nearly duplicated the effort scoring the first and last Red Hawks in a 2-1 overtime triumph against Gwynedd Mercy. She gave Montclair a 1-0 lead 6:46 into the game and then tallied the game-winner with 4:46 left in the second overtime. It was her third game-winning goal in overtime of the year. Struss is currently ranked fourth in the NJAC in points (19) and third in goals scored (9). The eight-point week also pushed Struss into sole possession of second place on the all-time MSU list for points scored with 126. She is 11 points shyt of Tanis' mark of 137.
