On a historic night for the MSU women, Nielsen made some history of her own as she broke both school records in the one-meter event which had stood for 20 years. Nielsen set the new mark in the 6-dive section posting a scored of 259.20 points breaking Kim Roy's record of 236.20 set in 1997. Nielsen then added a score of 189.5 in the voluntary portion to finish the night with 11-dive score of 448.70 which shattered Roy's mark of 413.35. Nielsen hit the NCAA provisional marks for both the 6-dive and 11-dive sections. Her efforts helped Montclair defeated the Lions for the first time in over three decades and the first women's victory against TCNJ under head coach Brian McLaughlin.
