Reiss fired a four-hit shutout as the Red Hawks took the first game of its doubleheader with Oneonta, 8-0. Reiss struck out six and walked two in his 117-pitch effort. He retired 13 of the first 14 batters he faced before allowing his first hit with two outs in the fifth inning. He set down eight straight (21-of-23 overall) after that before issuing a walk with one out in the eighth. He immediately picked off the base runner for the second out and, after giving up a double, fanned the final batter to end the inning. The shutout was the second of his career.
