Andrew August was a key factor in helping Montclair State run its record to 11-3 on the year with three wins. A three-time MSU Athlete of the Week winner this season, he had 14 points and seven rebounds as the Red Hawks beat Immaculata at home 104-64 on December 20. The following week he was named MVP of the Comfort Inn Holiday Classic as Montclair stretched its win streak to four with a pair of wins. August had 23 points, five rebounds, four assists, six blocks and three steals in MSU's 90-53 semifinal win over Lehman. He then notched his seventh double-double of the year with 23 points and 11 rebounds along with seven assists as the Red Hawks claimed the championship with an 87-64 victory in the title game. August, named NJAC Player of the Week for the third time this year, currently ranks third in the NJAC in scoring (20.4), second in rebounding (9.8) and fourth in field goal percentage (.556).
