Nappe batted .625 with five RBI as the Red Hawks split their first two games at the Piedmont Spring Break Tournament in Demorest, GA. The right-handed hitting third baseman drove in five runs, scored five times and had a slugging percentage of .857 and on-base average of .600 in the two contests. Nappe went 1-for-3 with four RBI, three runs scored and two walks as Montclair State opened its season with a 14-7 win over No. 25 Millsaps College. After Millsaps closed within 11-7, Nappe belted a three-run homer in the eighth to put the game out of reach. The following day he went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a run batted in as the Red Hawks fell to Methodist University, 11-7. Nappe also successfully handled all six chances in the field.
