Montclair State University Athletics

Papa was named the NJAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week marking the second straight MSU player to earn that honor. He punctuated an outstanding Saturday for Montclair State as the Red Hawks completed as double-header sweep at Rowan University with a 3-0 victory, the identical score MSU won the first game. It was the third conseucitve shutout for Montclair, a feat it had not accomplished since 1969. Papa tossed his first career shutout and third career complete game as he gave up five hits, struck out two and did not walk a batter as he picked up his first win of the year. Papa is currently 1-1 with 16 strikeouts in 37.1 innings pitched.
