Batiste helped the Red Hawks to a 5-1 week which included a perfect 4-0 mark at the Panther Invitational held at SUNY Old Westbury. She opened the week with six kills, 18 assists, five digs an four solo blocks as Montclair State split contests with Lehman (3-0 win) and Hunter (3-1 loss) at the FDU-Florham Devils’ Tri-Match. At the Panther Invitational, Batiste had three kills, 31 assists and four aces as MSU opened the tournament with a 3-0 win over host Old Westbury. Later that day, Batiste had eight kills, 17 assists and three digs as the Red Hawks added a second win sweeping Manhattanville in three sets. On Saturday, Batiste put together a fine all-around performance helping MSU to a 3-1 win against Bridgewater State (MA). In the victory she had six kills, 28 assists, 18 digs and three blocks. Batiste, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, is currently ranked ninth in the NJAC in hitting efficiency and has played an integral part in helping MSU (8-2) to its best start since 1998.
