Union, NJ - Junior outside hitter STACEY JOHNSON (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County) collected eight kills and CARMEN ALVARADO (Newark, NJ/Barringer) added five kills and seven assists as Montclair State dropped a 3-0 decision to Kean University on Tuesday evening.

Freshman TIFFANY ACIZ (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) had four kills, eight assists and three digs for the Red Hawks, who lost 30-17, 30-22 and 30-15. The loss dropped MSU's record to 4-16 on the season, 1-5 in the NJAC.

MELISSA STRAUSS (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) had a team-high 11 digs for the Red Hawks.

Montclair State returns to action on Saturday, October 20th at Lebanon Valley College in a tri-match. MSU will take on LVC and York (PA).
