Newark, NJ - Junior outside hitter DOMINI LANZONE (River Edge, NJ/River Dell) had 16 kills and five service aces to lead Rutgers-Newark to a 30-23, 30-21, 30-27, New Jersey Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Montclair State in the Golden Dome on Tuesday evening.

The Scarlet Raiders improved to 3-0 in the NJAC and 6-4 overall while the Red Hawks, who have lost three straight, tumbled to 0-4 and 1-11.

Freshman outside hitter ROBIN PEARCE (Shadow Hills, CA/Village Catholic) added 11 kills for the Raiders and freshman setter ALISON MARINO (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) chipped in 34 assists and a team-high eight digs.

For MSU, junior hitter STACEY JOHNSON (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County) and sophomore hitter CARMEN ALVARADO (Newark, NJ/Barringer) had six kills apiece. Johnson added a team-high 10 digs while freshman TIFFANY ACIZ (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) had 11 assists.
