Boston, Mass. (November 18, 2001) – The Montclair State women's basketball team fell to host Emmanuel College 66-53 in the Championship Game of the Pepsi Tip-Off Tournament.

JASMINE BATTS, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, collected 11 points and seven rebounds in the setback. KATHY BARBERI chipped in nine points as ERIN SCHULTZ had eight before fouling out. Emmanuel saw three players in double figures, as Melanie Sloan and Nessie Parham each notched double-double efforts.

The Red Hawks open their home slate on Tuesday, hosting Rutgers-Newark inside Panzer Gym.
