Upper Montclair, NJ - Upper Montclair, NJ -- Senior forward OMAR BOOTHE (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck) scored 18 points and led four players in double figures as Montclair State won its eighth straight with an 87-67 victory over Ramapo College in New Jersey Athletic Conference men's basketball action at Panzer Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.

DARIUS SKEETE (Union, NJ/Union) added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Red Hawks (10-4, 4-3 NJAC), who avenged two overtime losses to the Roadrunners last season. CHARLES RANSOM (Jersey City, NJ/Dickinson) and ROBERT ANDERSON (Lumber Bridge, NC/St. Paul's) each had 12 for Ramapo (8-4, 4-3 NJAC), which had its four-game winning streak snapped.

The Roadrunners jumped out to a 10-2 lead with 16:34 to play in the opening period, but MSU roared back with 27 of the game's next 36 points to build 29-19 lead with 6:59 before intermission. Skeete had eight points while HAROLD WILLIAMS (Jersey City, NJ/St. Aloysius) had six as Montclair took a 41-31 lead into halftime. MSU kept it up in the second half with the first five points for a 46-36 advantage and took its largest lead at 56-40 with 14:24 left when Skeete buried a three-pointer from the top of the key.
