Mahwah, NJ (10/15/02) - The Montclair State volleyball team snapped a four-match losing streak with a 3-0 sweep of host Ramapo College in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Tuesday evening.

Junior CARMEN ALVARADO (Newark, NJ/Barringer) collected 14 kills and added nine digs for the Red Hawks (11-12, 3-4 NJAC), who posted game victories of 30-20, 30-21 and 30-27.

Freshman Flavia Viega (Belen, Brazil/Sophos) added nine kills, six aces and six digs as Montclair State won for the first time since October 5th at the Kings Point Invitational.

JENNIFER OLAN (Jersey City, NJ/McNair Academy) had 30 assists while MELISSA STRAUSS (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) added 10 digs
