Staten Island, NY (10/25/02) - The Montclair State University volleyball team closed out its 2002 campaign tonight with a 3-0 sweep at The College of Staten Island.

It was the seventh sweep of the season for the Red Hawks (13-13 overall), who bested the host Dolphins by scores of 30-17, 30-10, and 30-8. MSU also improved to 7-2 on the road this fall, and 10-8 in non-conference matches.

Senior STACEY JOHNSON (Paterson, NJ/Passaic County Tech) collected 15 kills and 11 service aces in her final match. Johnson led all players in kills. Montclair had 26 service aces in the match, including five by senior MELISSA STRAUSS (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick), who was also playing in her final match.

JENNIFER OLAN (Jersey City, NJ/McNair Academy) had 20 assists and a pair of service aces.
