Upper Montclair, NJ (10/27/02) - The Montclair State men's and women's swimming and diving teams opened their 2002-03 season with losses at perennial NJAC powerhouse The College of New Jersey on Sunday. The men's team suffered a 139-85 loss while the women's team fell, 148-88.

Sophomore RACHEL YANUZZI (Fairview, NJ/Paramus Catholic) took 1st place honors in the 200 breaststroke (2:53.27) while the 400 frestyle relay team of REGINA POTOCNIE (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall), sophomores DIANA GIL (Landing, NJ/Roxbury), COLLEEN GRIFFIN (Bloomfield, NJ/Lacordaire Academy) and CARLY ORPUT (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) won with a time of 4:01.31.
