Stevenson, MD (9/29/02) - The Montclair State men's soccer team had their three-game winning streak snapped on Sunday afternoon as they battled host Villa Julie College to a scoreless draw in double overtime.
The Red Hawks outshot the Mustangs, 16-14, and held an 11-4 advantage in corner kicks but could not find the back of the net. It is only the second time this season MSU has failed to score in a game.
Goalkeeper CHRIS OWEN (Pompton Lakes, NJ/Pompton Lakes) made four saves and notched his sixth shutout of the season, lowering his goals against average this season to 0.33.
Montclair returns to action on Wednesday, October 2nd as they travel to Wayne to meet the Pioneers of William Paterson in a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup. The Red Hawks are currently 2-0 in the NJAC this season.
