Newark, NJ (1/31/04) - Sophomore center EBONY ALLEN (Camden, NJ/Woodrow Wilson HS) had 20 points and a dozen rebounds and senior guard DYETTE DILLARD (Willingboro, NJ/Willingboro) added 18 points and nine rebounds as Montclair State downed Rutgers-Newark, 85-59, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference women's basketball game in The Golden Dome.

The Red Hawks (15-3, NJAC 6-2) hauled down 23 offensive rebounds, with Allen and Dillard collecting six each, and MSU took advantage of 24 Scarlet Raider turnovers.

Sophomore center Christyal Anderson (Newark, NJ/University) had 16 points and 16 rebounds for the Raiders (2-17, NJAC 1-8). Freshmen Trina Whitehead (Newark, NJ/University) and Alisha McLean (Jersey City, NJ/St. Mary's) netted 11 points each for Rutgers-Newark. McLean also had six assists and five steals. Freshman guard Megan Lissenden (Bayonne, NJ/St. Dominic) scored 10 points.

Senior guard PAM BARONE (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa Academy) collected 16 points and four assists for MSU which also got six assists and three steals from senior guard VANESSA DEFREITAS (Kearny, NJ/Kearny).
