CATHY HOMIEK (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South) set an NCAA All-Divisions record for career assists, tallying seven in the game as Montclair State remained unbeaten with a 18-1 victory over Wilkes University in NCAA Division III women's lacrosse action at Sprague Field on Monday afternoon.

BRIANNA GILLIN (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) scored five times and
ANGELA GIAMPINO (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) added four as the Red Hawks continued their best start in school history, improving to 4-0. Catherine Dzubaty (Howell, NJ/Howell) scored the lone goal for Wilkes.
Homiek became the new record holder with 25:38 left in the game as she fed
NICOLE LAROCCA (Shamong, NJ/Shawnee) in front of the net. The assist was the 184th for Homiek, who broke the previous mark of 183 set by Maggie Murphy of Frostburg State (1989-92). She would later add two more to her total and has 186 in 46 career games. Homiek, MSU's all-time leader with 281 points, led Division III in assists last season and is the current leader this year with 27.
Montclair State jumped out to 1-0 lead 29 seconds into the game as Giampino got her first off an assist from Homiek.
SHAUNA BROCKLEBANK (Long Branch, NJ/Long Branch) made it a 2-0 game at the 3:11 mark.
KRISTEN GISONDI (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor) gave MSU a three-goal advantage before Giampino and
ANN DAILY (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) scored a minute apart to make the score 5-0 with 16:48 left in the half. Gillin recorded her first goal with just under 16 minutes to play and goals by Daily, Giampino and Brocklebank pushed the lead to 9-0 with 5:27 before the half. Gillin netted the final two goals as the Red Hawks took an 11-0 lead into halftime.
LaRocca scored twice in the second half and Gillin's final tally gave MSU a 16-0 lead before the Colonels finally broke through as Dzubaty collected her own rebound and put it past Montclair goalkeeper
KRISTEN KUHMANN (Beachwood, NJ/Toms River South).
Kuhmann had six saves while Cassie Malone (Matamoras, PA/Delaware Valley) had eight for Wilkes. The Colonels were outshot in the game, 30-13.
