Montclair, NJ (03/04/04) - The Montclair State women's lacrosse team will open its 2004 season at Sprague Field on Saturday, March 6, as its hosts Alvernia College at Sprague Field. The game will be the first part of a men's and women's doubleheader beginning at 11:00 am.
The game will be the first of 15 for Montclair, which finished 7-8 under first-year head coach Beth Gottung and reached the semifinal round of the inaugural Knickerbocker Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament.

CATHY HOMIEK (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South). Homiek set school records for assists (70) and points (97) scored as she led Division III in assists per game in 2003.
Homiek was one of three members named to the All-Knickerbocker Conference. Homiek was joined on the squad by midfielder
KRISTEN GISONDI (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor) and defender
KELLY GRADY (Howell, NJ/Howell). Gisondi scored 36 points and 13 goals in her first-year of playing lacrosse while Grady led the team with 31 caused turnovers.
