Glassboro, NJ (11/2/05) – The Montclair State field hockey team's bid for its first NJAC Championship fell short on Wednesday as the No. 5 Red Hawks fell at sixth-ranked Rowan, 4-2.
MSU, which had its nine-game winning streak snapped and fell to 16-2 this season (4-2 in the NJAC), will now await its postseason fate as bids for the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament will be announced on Sunday, November 6.
The score was tied at one after the first half. Forward Danielle Miranda had put the Profs up 2-1 at 36:05 with an assist from midfielder Liz Unger. Unger found the Red Hawks' net 41 seconds later.
