Mahwah, NJ (10/10/06) – The Montclair State volleyball team had its three-match win streak snapped on Tuesday as the Red Hawks fell to Ramapo College in three sets at the Bradley Center.
KAREN MARTIN (Sicklerville, NJ/Washington Township) had seven kills and eight digs for the Red Hawks, who fell to 8-16 overall, 3-3 in the NJAC. Ramapo won the match 30-27, 30-26 and 31-29.
Senior
HEATHER ACIZ (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) led the way for Montclair State with 13 kills as she moved within nine kills of becoming just the second player in program history to record 1,000 kills in a career. She also had seven digs.
Freshman
ANNA CHESNAKOVA (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) added 12 kills and three total blocks while Kara Burham (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) had four kills and three block solos.
RAISA SILVA (Newark, NJ/East Side) had 36 assists and four digs for the Red Hawks.
Montclair State returns to action on Thursday, October 12 as they host the Profs of Rowan University in a 7:00 pm matchup at Panzer Gymnasium.
