JOHN ESPOSITO (right) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week as the league handed out its weekly honors on Monday.
It is the second straight week the Red Hawks have captured an honor from the conference.
TYLER MASTERSON was named the NJAC Player of the Week ofr September 4. His efforts have helped MSU get off to a 5-0 start, the first time that has happened since 1991.
Esposito earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after tallying two goals during a 3-0 week of play for the Red Hawks. He opened the week by registering his first collegiate goal, which resulted in the game-winning score with just 2:46 remaining in regulation in Montclair's 2-1 non-conference road win at Western Connecticut. Three days later, he connected on an unassisted goal to cap the Red Hawks' 3-0 non-conference road win at Wilkes.
Esposito has tallied five points in five matches played on the season for Montclair State.
