Tanis , MSU's all-time leading goal scorer, put the Red Hawks on the board inside the first 10 minutes of the game. Montclair State extended the lead eight minutes later as Colombo collected her first career goal. Off a penalty corner, Gallo let loose a shot from the top of the circle that Colombo deflected in for the 2-0 lead. Tanis would add her second of the game and fifth of the year at the 26:34 mark of the half as Montclair went into the break up 3-0.
In the second half Dobiesz registered her second goal of the year tapping in a shot from in front of the cage off a feed from Gallo, who has three assists in the first three games.
Geneseo would avoid the shutout as Milkovich notched her second goal off a penalty corner. Sarah Doster ( Getzville, NY/Williamsville North) inserted the ball off the corner to Milkovich, who rocketed a shot through the defense and into the cage.
