Little Falls, NJ (3/25/08) – Senior righthander CAROLYN MCCREA (Wharton, NJ / Jefferson) tossed a five-inning perfect game in the while junior shortstop JENNIFER JIMENEZ (Linden, NJ / Linden) became the all-time home run leader at Montclair State as the No. 17 Red Hawks swept a doubleheader from John Jay College with a pair of identical 8-0 victories at the MSU Softball Stadium on Thursday.

Jimenez surpassed the record of Kari McDonnell, who belted 30 from 2002-2005. AMANDA LIVSEY (Congers, NY / Congers) brought home the final two runs for MSU with a single.

In the nightcap, Karp and sophomore ELIA PERSICO (Marlton, NJ / Cherokee) combined on a two-hit shutout with Karp striking out seven and walking one through the first five innings before Persico struck out the side in the final inning.

WHITNEY DRIVER (Montville, NJ / Morristown-Beard) added an RBI single and Montclair extended the lead to three runs with an RBI single by KACIE NEUROUTER (Wayne, NJ / Wayne Valley).
