JENNIFER TANIS (Oak Ridge, NJ / Jefferson) scored three-times during a game-ending six-goal run by Montclair State however the Red Hawks came up a goal short in a 10-9 loss at Eastern Connecticut on Thursday afternoon.

KAYLA HENDERSON (Landing, NJ / Roxbury) scored a pair of goals as the Red Hawks (1-4), dropped their third straight contest.
In a re-match of last year's NCAA Division III first-round match won by Montclair State, the Warriors led 7-0 and 10-3 with 18 minutes left. MARYKATE DIBENEDETTO's ( Cinnaminson, NJ) only goal of the match with 5:01 left made it 10-9.
Eastern goalie Joslin Wells (Marstons Mills, MA) stopped eight of ten shots in the first half but the Red Hawks scored on seven of their 11 shots in the second half.
Jackie Bivona (Middlebury, CT) and MacDonald each had four ground balls for Eastern, with MacDonald also causing four turnovers and winning four drawns. Natalie Sims ( Carle Place, NY) also won four draws for Eastern.
KATE BARRIE ( Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) won four draws for Montclair and Tanis caused three turnovers. Freshman goalkeeper
TALIA KATZ (Lower Merion, PA / Lower Merion) finished with eight saves for the Red Hawks.
Montclair State returns to action on Monday, March 31 as MSU opens defense of its back-to-back Skyline Conference championships with a 7:00 pm matchup versus Farmingdale State at Sprague Field.
