Mahwah, NJ – Andre Kenny scored a game-high 20 points as Ramapo College snapped Montclair State's nine-game winning streak with a 65-55 victory at the Bradley Center on Wednesday evening.
Tim Wesley and Anthony LoRusso had 15 and 12 points respectively as the Roadrunners (8-6, 1-2 NJAC) built an eight-point halftime lead and held off a Red Hawk challenge over the final 20 minutes.
JAMES WILLIAMS finished with 19 points for MSU (9-6, 1-2 NJAC), which fell for the first time since a 78-57 setback to John Jay College back on November 22 in the Reading Wyndham Classic.
Kenny scored 12 in the first half as Ramapo built a 31-23 lead at the break. MSU opened the second half with five straight trimming the deficit to 31-28 on a three-point by Williams in the first 90 seconds. The three-point margin remained that way after
JON GEORGES connected making the score 35-32 with 15:23 before the Roadrunners scored the next nine points.
Kenny hit a jumper and LoRusso followed with a three to open up the lead to 40-32. Kenny added a second field goal before a jumper by Ernst Ambroise gave Ramapo a 44-32 advantage with 12:17 left.
An 11-2 run over the next six minutes allowed Montclair to close to 45-43 on two foul shots by Georges. Ramapo countered with six in a row, the last a jumper by Kenny pushing the Roadrunners' lead to 51-43 with 4:33 left. Wesley' three-pointer got the lead back to double digits, 56-45 with two minutes left.
Georges finished with 13 points and five rebounds for Montclair.

DANIEL MCRAE chipping in with six points, three rebounds and three blocks.
