Montclair, NJ (3/10/09) – Junior attack Alyssa Pigott (Jobstown, NJ / Northern Burlington) scored six goals while Christine Smith (East Northport, NY/ Northport) added five goals as Stevens recorded its fourth straight victory with a 20-9 win over Montclair State in NCAA women's lacrosse action at Sprague Field on Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore Karen Federico (West Islip, NY / West Islip) collected four goals and an assist as the Ducks remained unbeaten, improving to 4-0 on the year.

MORGAN MACPHEE (Toms River, NJ / Toms River East) had three goals and an assist for Montclair State, which fell to 0-4 on the season.
Montclair State took its lone lead of the game as freshman
CORA DELFINI (New Egypt, NJ / New Egypt) scored off a free position attempt to put Montclair up 4-3 with 17:58 left in the opening period. The Ducks would then reel off the next four goals to take the lead for good. Federico began the run as she converted a free-position attempt before Pigott tallied twice in a 23 second span as Stevens went back up 6-4 with 15:14 to go.
Smith capped the run with her first goal of the game to widen the lead to 7-4, but MacPhee countered for Montclair State as the Red Hawks cut the lead to 7-5 with 12:42 remaining. Leah Wasserman (Monmouth Beach, NJ / Shore Regional) and Smith scored 26 seconds apart with under eight minutes to play and un assisted goals by Pigott, Smith and Federico gave Stevens a 12-6 lead at the break.
Pigott collected the first goal of the second half and Federico connected 4:44 into the period to cap as the Ducks went up 14-6.
Goalkeeper Grace Sack (Cazenovia, NY / Manlius Pebble Hill) made eight saves for Stevens while also recording four ground balls. Cassidy Callahan (Skaneateles, NY / Skaneateles) had three draws and three ground balls for the Ducks, who collected 53 shots in the game.

The Red Hawks return to action on Tuesday, March 17 as they travel to Virginia Beach to take on Virginia Wesleyan at 7:00 pm. Stevens is home on the same day against No. 10 Amherst College at 3:00 pm.
