Montclair, N.J. (March 9, 2009) –
TAYLOR BONNER and
ROBERT SINICOLA combined for eight goals as the Montclair State men's lacrosse bounced back with a 14-8 win over Eastern Connecticut.
The Warriors opened a slim 4-3 advantage in the second quarter, but MSU went on a 4-0 spurt to take the lead back for good. After a Matt Savage marker brought ECSU back to within a pair,
MIKE CORSETTO kick-started a 5-0 rally to give Montclair a lead they didn't surrender.
Michael Glennon had three assists for Eastern Connecticut, as Savage, Brian Fechtmann and Maxim Fantl all had two goals. Bonner netted five goals with Sinicola adding three goals and a pair of helpers, as
TYLER MEIXNER dished out four assists of his own.
COLLIN MARSH and
DUSTIN MALASZUK each forced three turnovers, while
THOMAS BOWERS made 13 saves in the win.
