New Paltz, NY (12/13/10) - The Montclair State women's basketball team dropped a non-conference contest at SUNY New Paltz on Monday as the Red Hawks fell to the Hawks, 63-50. The loss put MSU at 4-5 on the season.

Junior guard JAIME ERICSON (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) recorded her second straight double-double. The NJAC Player of the Week finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds as she connected on 5-of-10 from behind the arc.

Freshman guard MICHELLE MONTAGNA (New Providence, NJ / New Providence) and sophomore forward COLLEEN KELLY (Rockaway, NJ / Morris Hills) each had eight points while senior KISANDRA AYANBEKU (Brockton, MA / Randolph) added six points and a team-best 13 rebounds. Kelly added six rebounds and six assists.

The Red Hawks return to action on Saturday, December 18 as they host 16th-ranked Muhlenberg at the Panzer Athletic Center beginning at 1:00 pm.
