Montclair, NJ (9/20/10) – Freshman midfielder DAN MENDOZA (Hackensack, NJ / Hackensack) was chosen as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday. It marks the second straight week that the Red Hawks claimed one of the league's weekly accolades.

Mendoza earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after helping the Red Hawks open defense of their NJAC championship with a 5-0 conference victory over Rowan. In the first NJAC match of his career, he assisted on the Red Hawks' second and fifth goals of the game, helping MSU to secure the win in its conference-opener.

Mendoza currently ranks tied for fourth in the NJAC in points (10).
