MEGAN COCKCROFT (Rutherford, NJ / Rutherford) added six kills, six assists, two aces and 10 digs as Montclair State dropped both of its matches at the Red Dragon Classic on Friday evening.
MSU (0-3) lost to Fredonia State and (25-12, 25-12, 25-11) and St. Lawrence University (25-16, 25-13, 25-8).
Topor had five kills and 11 digs in the loss to Fredonia. Cockcroft posted four kills, four assists and four digs while setter
BELLA MILSTEIN (Edison, NJ / JP Stevens) recorded nine assists and five digs.
KRISTEN BRONOWICH (Secaucus, NJ / Secaucus) chipped in with 11 digs with libero
KAITLYN IRWIN (Cranford, NJ / Cranford) notching 10 digs.
In the St. Lawrence match, Topor had four kills and 10 digs while
SARA GIRGUS (Green Brook, NJ / Watchung Hills) added three kills and two solo blocks. Irwin and Bronowich had 11 and 10 digs, respectively. Cockcroft had two kills, two assists, four service aces and six digs.
The Red Hawks will face Buffalo State at 10:00 am on Saturday as they continue action in the Red Dragon Classic. MSU will then take on either Baptist Bible or Potsdam either at 2:00 or 4:00 pm.
