Each team would miss their opportunities on the respective possessions and a turnover by MSU with 52 seconds left gave the Profs the ball. Gregg misfired on a jumper but the loose-ball rebound went back to the Profs. Following a timeout with 18 seconds left, Gregg scored giving Rowan the lead 73-71 with four seconds to play.
Montclair would get one last chance, but Sara Kelley's (Newtown, CT / Newtown) three-pointer at the buzzer missed the mark.
Towns finished with 10 points and seven assists for MSU.
DEVIN FEENEY (Whippany, NJ / Whippany Park) added seven points off the bench.
