Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Ramapo Tops Women's Basketball

Mahwah, NJ (2/5/11) – Senior forward KISANDRA AYANBEKU (Brockton, MA / Randolph) posted 16 points and four rebounds while junior guard JAIME ERICSON (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) added 13 points and seven boards however Montclair State suffered its second straight loss falling at Ramapo College, 69-60 in the Bradley Center on Saturday evening.

Freshman guard Sara Kelley (Newtown, CT / Newtown) added nine points off the bench for MSU, which fell to 10-11 overall, 4-6 in the NJAC North Division. The Red Hawks are currently in third place in the division, a half-game behind Rutgers-Newark for second place. MSU is also a half-game in front of Ramapo (3-6 NJAC) for the final spot from the division in the NJAC Tournament race. The top three teams from each division advance.

Montclair will face Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, February 12 at 6:00 pm before closing out the league slate with back-to-back games versus New Jersey City on February 14 and 16.

The loss tonight was Montclair's second to the Roadrunners this season as Ramapo posted a 52-48 win at the Panzer Athletic Center on January 6. Should MSU and Ramapo finished tied, the Roadrunners would get the nod over Montclair by virtue of its season sweep of the Red Hawks.

Montclair State plays its final non-conference game of the season on Tuesday, February 8 as they host Stevens at the Panzer Athletic Center beginning at 7:00 pm.
